Dear Power of My Way Community,
I am absolutely humbled by the response to The Power of My Way Movie--a movie that grew out of a song that my husband Brent and I wrote over a year ago. Power of My Way was written in a few effortless minutes during a playful evening together, and it quickly became my theme song. Later, the book, The Power of Our Way: A Path to a Collective Consciousness, was born. Our vision of inspiring the creation of a global community with a focus on our spiritual and human connection with others; a community that embraced people who desire to bring their own unique selves and divine power to contribute to healing a wounded world, continued to grow. It was this vision that ultimately led to the release of the movie and book on January 11, 2006. As of midnight on January 15, 2006, only four days into the release, 62,000 people from seven continents had viewed the Power of My Way Movie!
Since then, an average of 850 per day have joined our collective sharing community. These subscribers represent over 2 dozen countries and are affiliated with large corporations, small nonprofits, churches, ashrams, international agencies and a number of world governments. You are from India, Pakistan, Canada, Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany, Israel, South Africa, Australia, Kenya, the US and Argentina (and that doesn't cover it). On some level, each individual in this diverse group has recognized a personal connection to the universal principles and wisdom that were manifested through Brent?s and my inspiration in writing Power of My Way.
I have received hundreds of e-mails appreciating the words, the music and the pictures that are bonded together to create The Power of My Way Movie, as well as numerous requests to write variations of the book targeted to businesses, families and teens. All of these communications bear witness to the desire we all possess for inspiration, direction and connection. Our intention is to live up to the calling by creating new products and services that uplift, inspire and unite.
Creating a Universal Language
Music and positive intention are a Universal language, a uniting force, and a form of communication that extends beyond borders and across oceans, diminishing the illusion of separation between cultures. At a time when the collective pendulum is swinging fiercely in the direction of fear and insecurity, we can take a stand: we can build powerful connections with people around the world, and unite with the intention of seeing us, as a human race, surrender to the undeniable fact that we are all connected. Our first book, The Power of Our Way: A Path to a Collective Consciousness, is about honoring what makes each of us unique in a way that does not dismiss the divine connection we have to every living being walking the planet. We are different and yet the same. It is not all that complicated--the first step always begins within ourselves. As Gandhi said, "be the change you wish to see in the world."
Imagine What the World Would be if Everyone Were Living the Power of Their Way!
I am writing this letter today to convey to you what you have connected with; a growing collective of men and women across continents all of whom were all touched by the same message and inspired to join something bigger. Regardless of your interpretation, each of you was moved to connect. This community is not based in one religious edict or set of teachings. Limitations only exist in my inability to express myself in other languages. So I invite you to look beyond any language barriers, and instead look at the intention of the messages we share with one another as this community grows.
You have a choice. You may choose to unsubscribe at any time. If you are open to contributing to a collective energy of peace, mutual respect, and building bridges between cultures, religions, businesses, and countries, and to doing that with a commitment to self growth, then I know that you will want to stay and contribute. I have no idea how this will ultimately develop. I am not an expert in religion, sociology, or even cross-cultural relations. I do, however, hold a vision of a more united world, and my guess is that many of you also wish to impact the world in positive ways.
Do You Believe in the Power of Manifestation?
I believe in the power of manifestation--and in the power of the collective consciousness. That is what has brought us this far in creating a new global community. Knowing that my words and Brent's music and voice are reaching so many people is only proof of how powerful vision, intention, and commitment truly are. There are many people to thank and we will do that at another time--they know who they are. However, I do want to acknowledge Scott and Karen at www.un-marketing.com for taking a dream and a PowerPoint prototype and creating this inspirational piece that it is making its way around the world at lightning speed.
I would like to leave you with one final--or beginning--thought (for this is indeed a beginning!). You are powerful. Part of your life's purpose is to discover your vast internal power so that you can live the POWER OF YOUR WAY. As a member of this community, you will have new resources to help you in that quest, and many are totally free.
