OUR PANEL. . .
Our special guest panelists; Alice Yeager, Neale Donald Walsch, Chief Avrol Looking Horse, Dr. Michael Knox, Deborah Moldow, Mike Abkin and Anita Pathik Law, have been asked to share their thoughts this year, in conscious dialogue, about their own inner process of peacebuilding and how their actions reflect the inner work of peace.
Our discussion will include the role language plays as conveyed through written, verbal, non-verbal and visual communications extended peacefully to others in inspiring ways. We also encourage participants to share their pre-written personalized inner peace treaty as part of the dialogue.
A Little History...
The initiating Inner Peace March™ and Inner Peace Treaty™ initial ratifying event was held on June 21, 1998 in Annapolis, Maryland, U.S.A. Then, Annapolis Mayor Dean Johnson, and another one hundred participants, gathered in front of the Maryland State House for the first of many Inner Peace Treaty ratifying ceremonies.
This ratification is an on-going process to inspire all to participate in it for themselves and the planet as a whole.
Some of the ratifiers of the Inner Peace Treaty™ include;
Former Annapolis Mayor Dean Johnson, co-founders of the Center for Visionary Leadership and authors of Spiritual Politics: Changing the World from the Inside out and Builders of the Dawn, Gordon Davidson and Corrinne McLaughlin, Former Maryland Governor Parris Glendening (who later offered a written version of an Inner Peace Treaty for Maryland), Annapolis Mayor Ellen Moyer, Presidential Candidate, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Conversations with God author, Neale Donald Walsch, author and activist Rabbi Michael Lerner, Co-founder of the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, Ambassador John McDonald, The World Peace Prayer Society's Representative to the United Nations, Deborah Moldow, 19th Generation Keeper of the Original Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota Nation of the Sioux, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, and author, musician and film maker, James Twyman.
Representatives of numerous organizations have also ratified it including: The John Denver Memorial Peace Cloth, The World Peace Prayer Society, Prayer Vigil for the Earth, World Peace Flame (Life Foundation) and the World Peace and Prayer Day (Wolakota Foundation). Current signatures are approximated at over 1,000 people around the world.
Since its inception in 1994 as a seed thought, the Inner Peace Treaty™ has been gently guided by unseen hands. For lasting peace to finally become a reality it is our individual responsibility to co-create peace within ourselves as seeds of peace in the world.
